SPEAKER_00:

Hey there, welcome back to another episode of Her Sacred Medicine podcast, the podcast that delves into the human experience and helps us connect with our inner wisdom and medicine. And today we're going to be talking about our inner wisdom, connecting with the language of our soul, our intuition. What is intuition? What is it? What the heck is intuition? Um, it's a I know that none of you are, you're all very intuitive anyway, so you all pretty much know what it is. But let's face it, sometimes, and I am even guilty of this myself, sometimes we don't always listen to it. Sometimes we dismiss intuition when it comes our way. It's like we kind of like... We don't want to listen to what our intuition is trying to tell us, what our inner wisdom is trying to tell us. It's like we just, we don't want to go there because what intuition will often do, intuition will often take us out of our comfort zone because intuition is the language of our soul and our soul wants us, and so does our spirit, but wants us to live the most incredible magnificent life that we can so it's always trying to guide us towards what that is so our higher self our soul will speak to us through our intuition so our intuition is the language of our soul basically that's how i always say see it excuse me um it's the language of our soul which is kind of pretty lovely isn't it especially when we can learn how to really tap into and listen and hear that it's a really beautiful thing because it changes everything it changes your life you know all areas of your life your relationships become better because you come from a more authentic place you know you really you really get more sure of your life path and your soul gifts everything comes much more it you it's like you step into that grace that flow with life when you're listening and following and trusting your intuition. So it's a really, you know, it's something that we should all get really good at mastering because it will change our lives. It will enable us to actually see those miracle moments that we're surrounded by every single day. Okay, they're there all the time, but often we don't see them. because we're not hearing and seeing that, you know, hearing and seeing and understanding the messages from our intuition. So even when it comes to like our health, of course our health can become so much better when we listen to our intuition because our health, our body tells us everything. Our body is so intuitive. Okay. So, Our body gives us messages. Our body gives us messages through our intuition in terms of, you've all heard it, the gut feeling, yeah, the chills down the spine, the tingles. We all get those different feelings, but when we come to understand what they're trying to tell us, that's when we're able to obviously get a better idea of, is it a yes, is it a no, is it fear, is it, Is it fear? Is it, um, I'm going to go there in a minute actually, cause that's actually really important, but is it fear or is it some, is it like just something that we're is new to us? So it's out of our comfort zone, two very different things. Okay. Um, so what is intuition? Intuition feels intuition when we get it. And if it's a, if it's a yes, for instance, It feels so goddamn exciting, but it does feel scary at times. And it asks us to often get out of our comfort zone. That I'm sure you are well aware of because I'm sure many of you have experienced your intuition throughout your lives and you've been called in a certain direction, but it's been like, oh my God, oh my God, I really want to do it. But I'm like, oh, I don't, you know, it's like, Do I? Don't I? And you stand on the precipice. It's like you're on the precipice. You're on the edge of that cliff. And you know you've got to jump because the universe is going to catch you, yeah? But you still hesitate because it's like you don't always trust your intuition. But that's what we're here to get good at. We're here to get ready to jump and make the leap so the universe can catch us, so we can follow them dots, okay? So we can open up to a much brighter future in every single way. And if you're running an online business, you're gonna love this too, because that also will help you so much when it comes to getting clients and also knowing who to work with, who not to work with, et cetera, okay? Intuition is such a powerful tool. So it will basically open you up to riches on all levels, in all levels of your life. All right. And as you know, we're going to be looking at all the different types of intuition, how intuition comes through. That's our clairvoyance, which is all about our clear seeing. You know, when we when we get those clairvoyant images, they are often images that we see their pictures. It could be a movie that's played out when we get really good at developing our intuition. That's where it goes to. It's like you can literally, for instance, look at somebody and all of a sudden you start getting flashes like a movie screen. It's different for everybody. Of course it is. But some people experience symbols, you know. So clairvoyance, clairsentience is all about your feeling. All of you pretty much in here are very clairsentient. And when I say that, a lot of you are empaths, okay? I'm an empath. I'm very clairsentient. I work with all my clairs, but that's because I've been developing, I've developed them all, which is, you know, where we're going to be putting you on the journey to, all right? So clairsentient is all about feeling. It's all about, you know, feeling that you just, you can just sense things about people. You know, when you walk into a room You know exactly what I mean. It feels like icy cold if there's a lot of negative energy in there. Or it feels really uplifting. You feel that if it's like full of positive vibration. Yeah. So there are, I mean, with clairsentience as well, if you're clairsentient, it comes in so many different ways. They all do. With Clairsentient, you might find that you feel stuff off people. You just pick stuff up. You just feel everything about somebody. That one I do. If someone's down, my God, I have to be careful I don't take on other people's emotions. And A lot of you may find that you struggle with this because you are so empathic, you're compassionate, you're kind, you just give to everyone, but then you kind of absorb other people's energies. One of the things that we're going to talk about is grounding and is also ways of protecting your energy more so you don't absorb other people's stuff, if you like. Okay, other people's emotions, you know, and what's really going on with them. Because as an empath, as you know, it's very easy to do that, unbeknown to us. And one minute we feel fine, and the next minute we feel like we're drained. And that's because we've taken on that other person's stuff. Okay, so we will have a look at that.

UNKNOWN:

Okay.

SPEAKER_00:

I just want to check a few things here because I have a few notes here, my bullet points. So I go in order with things because being an intuitive, as you're all going to find out, and I'm sure many of you already are very aware of this, We can often tend to go with where we're feeling with something rather than often follow the energy that is, which is what I tend to do with things, rather than follow a structured plan. But when it comes to delivering something like this, sometimes we need a bit of both going on. All right. So with everything I've said so far, basically your intuition is like your

SPEAKER_01:

navigator, your GPS

SPEAKER_00:

navigator.

SPEAKER_01:

So what is intuition

SPEAKER_00:

not? It isn't fear. Fear comes from the body. We feel it in the body. Of course we do. But what it isn't is that intuition is that gut feeling which comes from the body. Yes. But there's a differentiation. There's a big difference here. Fear comes from the monkey mind, the ego, okay? It comes from our left hemisphere of the brain. It comes from where your subconscious mind, where all your fears are, your limiting beliefs, the stories that you tell yourself over and over again about why you're maybe not good enough for something, or past experiences, for instance. Past experiences you've had that have given you a fearful experience and you've carried that with you. What can sometimes happen when we're trying to tune into our intuition is Fear can rise up about something if it's something that reminds us. For instance, let's just take a person. If it's someone that reminds us of somebody else, but that other person we had a bad experience with, what can happen is when we try to... When we think we're listening to our intuition, sometimes it's actually not. It's actually our past stuff that is regurgitized up from the left hemisphere of our brain. OK, because in our gut, we have lots of we have like there's a vagus nerve and there's lots of nerve endings. And what happens is that speaks to that speaks to our intuition. OK, but the problem is, what we have with the left hemisphere of the brain, if we're not careful, and there's plenty of tests we can do for this, by the way, and I'm going to share some today. If we're not careful, like I said, it can bring up past events, past stuff, limiting beliefs, okay? It can bring up conditioning and all that kind of thing. So one thing we have to get really good at while we're actually developing our intuition is looking at our stories, looking at our limiting beliefs, okay? Looking at those things that we are, even we are fearful of. Because that way, if we can work, do those, excuse me, if we can do that inner inquiry within ourselves and become aware of anything that we are holding, emotional stuff, this is where we kind of do a bit of a life laundry, should we say. All right, we look at different areas of our life. I do this all the time because it's good for every area of your life anyway and perfect to keep you in alignment,

SPEAKER_01:

okay?

SPEAKER_00:

We have to get really good at doing a self-inquiry. And I know many of you as coaches, as therapists, as healers, you know, you're good at doing that. You're good at working on yourselves. But it's very important that we do that. We do that self-inquiry. And the reason for that is because intuition is a journey of self-esteem, okay? Intuition is a journey of self-esteem. So remember that. So the more you work on yourself, the more you will build your inner power. Your self-esteem will rise. Your confidence will rise. It's why the whole journey of intuition is so powerful. It's not just about being able to get your tarot cards out and read for somebody. Oh, no, it's way more deeper than that, way more powerful than that. intuition leading an intuitive life is you know it's going to literally open your world up it will open your world up okay so what we are going to do now so i don't keep running on and on and on we're going to start having a little bit of fun okay But just before we do get into a fun game, I want to share something with you about when I was just then talking about intuition and fear and intuition, because there's a difference between intuition and fear, and intuition and a warning sign, okay? Because intuition isn't always like those... inspired feelings and, you know, you feel alive, you feel joyful. That's when it's a big yes. You feel alive, you feel joyful. It's like, oh my God, I really want to do that, but I'm scared. That's okay. That's fine. That's okay. Because that's just us stepping out of our comfort zone and that's perfectly normal. All right. But intuition is also, can also be a warning sign to say, no, don't go there. Don't go that way. and I'll give you a quick story quickly of mine what happened to me when I had this happen when I was in Thailand I was traveling and I was actually a journalist at the time all right so we go back to quite a few years and when I was out there I was like out there with my backpack and I was doing the whole like backpacker scene thing and oh my god I was loving it loving it loving it I'd gone off the beaten trail anyway I'd gone off the the what do they call it the the backpackers this the normal travelers trail yeah I'd gone off with the backpackers and it was off the off the Taurus radar is what I'm trying to say. That's it. That's a better way of putting it. Off the Taurus radar. So I'd found this place called PIA. Spelt P-I-A. absolutely amazing talk about high vibe place they were just like people like us i tell you they were totally people like us they were into all the crystals intuition cards just everything and anything spiritual you know it was just such an amazing place and you could feel it the energy there was so raised so high the vibration was so high oh my god i loved it anyway I was just walking down like this they weren't roads there they were kind of like dusty pathways sort of thing anyway I was walking down I was in the town area where lots of like little huts and everything were you can imagine Thailand can't you and I thought I just you know I popped in to get myself some a coffee and As I sat there in this lovely cafe bar, I caught this guy's attention. And there's another story I'm going to share later on with you. I just actually split up with my partner I'd been with for so many years. at that time so that was part of my healing journey actually going away traveling all right that's another story i followed my intuition to leave my partner and i've been with him years um but that's another story i will share that with you because that was i was so fearful about leaving him because i had to leave everything behind i'm telling you everything my whole life had to change everything but when just going back to this story sorry go back to this story i Got my coffee, anyway, I sat there, and there was this guy that caught my eye. Obviously, by now, I'm single, yeah? I'm single, I'm sitting there, and I have to say, he was Brazilian, and he was like, ever seen the guy, I can't even remember his name, out of Eat, Pray and Love? Oh, he just looked like him, he looked like him. um so and I was just like wow you know and he came over to speak to me so naturally yeah we struck up conversation we were chatting and laughing and joking and it was it was great you know and you know he he looked like what was his name anyone know the name of the guy and he pray love what's his name the one that The one she ended up marrying. Obviously not, that was the actor, but yeah. Anyway, the guy in Eat, Pray, Love, can't remember his name, but come to me in a minute. I think he was Scottish, wasn't he? Scottish, yeah, the Scottish guy. So anyway, we're having this great conversation and then he turns around and he says to me, well, because I told him how I was going up the mountains the next day to meet the hill tribes, the medicine people. I was going to meet a medicine man. Yes, I know. Just like Eat, Pray, Love. I was off to meet this medicine man. And I was literally on the Eat, Pray, Love journey myself. That's it. That's it. You're right. You're right. I was literally on the trail of Eat, Pray, Love. That's what I was doing out there. Yeah. Because I was even a journalist. at the time like Elizabeth Gilbert it was hilarious and I was writing a book so um or writing journaling for a book so anyway we're sitting there and he says to me well look he said um I'll come with you and I was like no no no I said I'm actually interviewing the medicine man so I'll best to go on my own and uh and I didn't really want I just want to go on my own anyway so he said well okay so well fair enough he said well why don't we um Why don't we meet up later this evening, he said, here. And he said, because you're going to need some warmer clothes. Because he'd already asked me earlier in the conversation if I had anything warmer to wear going up. because it was obviously going up very, very high in the mountains. And I told him, no, not really. He said, well, we can just have a look on the market and pick you up a jumper at least or something. So that was what we did. We arranged to meet and we met later on in the evening. And really, really nice, just such great conversation and just such a sexy man. It was like, hello, I'm in heaven. Just amazing. And then, then the funny, the funny thing was he said to me out of the blue, he said, would you like some green tea? And this is why we were wondering about the sort of markets, just, you know, talking, having a laugh. And, and I was like, well, thinking to myself, I don't really like green tea because I didn't back then. And yeah, but instead of saying i don't really like green tea i went yeah okay then so anyway he just popped to the little side street um market bit side street uh store got some green tea and brought it over to me so we both just sort of carried on walking drinking our green tea you know as you do and then all of a sudden i started to notice it wasn't all of a sudden it was after about 20 minutes I started to notice how I was talking. I was talking a lot. Sarah talks a lot anyway, but I was talking a lot. I was talking about things to do with my, I was talking way too openly about stuff to do with my expectations. partner I just separated with because he was asking me all these questions and I wouldn't normally having just met someone share the kind of things that I was sharing and that sort of struck me I thought oh I better be a bit more you know discreet about my life sort of thing and then we sort of carried on walking and I thought I don't know I just feel really strange I feel really weird And it's like, I just felt, I started to feel I didn't have a care in the world. And I didn't mind talking about pretty much anything, you know. And he started asking me about how big my backpack was. And do I travel light? What's in my backpack? Am I alone? Have I traveled with anybody else? And would I like to travel to Laos with him? And I said to him, well, I did want to go to Laos because I did want to go there. It was actually on my list, my bucket list to go. And he sort of said to me, well, come with me. And then by this point, I have to be completely honest, I didn't know where this was going, but I just knew I didn't feel right. And my intuition just kicked straight in. I came over my flight, fight and freeze. okay you know the one fight flight and freeze fight fight and flight came in in my stomach and i felt fear and i suddenly thought oh dear what is going on here what has happened what has just happened and i looked at my green tea and i actually looked at him and i went you've just you spiked my green tea haven't you you put something you've drugged me you put something in my green tea and he looked at me and he was like no he said not at all and I said no you have I said because I feel strange I said I'm talking way too much I'm telling you things I would not normally share with a complete stranger and and anyway that was pretty much it I got the heck out of there as you can imagine through my tea the rest of it into the book into the wherever it was bush as I was walking by and I literally got out of there I got out of there and that evening when I got back to my where I was staying I quickly got onto the laptop to my friend John and I was back home in England and I told him what happened and he asked me he said Sarah did he ask me ask you about your backpack what kind of questions did he ask you and I told him he said my god girl he said you are so lucky he said the guy was probably going to try and use you as a drug tout I think they call them a drug tout, basically to carry drugs from, because he said about the whole Lao thing, if you want you to go with him to Lao, the likelihood is by the questioning he gave you, he was looking for someone to take drugs from Lao in their backpack back to Thailand again. Shivers, hey? So my intuition literally saved me, probably saved, me i don't know how many years possibly in a thailand prison that's what can happen with intuition it can save our asses excuse my french but that's exactly how i felt at the time so intuition will warn of danger and when you get those feelings in that way you listen to them and i'm sure you do but that was my intuition was just on fire that day it was on fire So anyway, and of course, you know, just one second, my little incense stick, just clearing the energy out now as we do. Maybe it might be better if we just do a little bit of a here. I love these. I use these spells every time after a client session because Yeah, just going back to what I was saying. So, so important to listen always. Because never, ever dismiss what it's trying to tell you. Never dismiss those feelings, sorry. Or what it's trying to tell you, but never dismiss. If you feel something in your body, listen to it. Okay, so we are now going to do... a body experiment are you ready of my green tea okay so what we're going to do is this as i said earlier the body feels everything the body will tell you give you a yes or a no okay it will tell you which way to go. And for that reason, I'm also going to share some embodiment, feminine embodiment practices with you later in the thing. So what I want you to do is this. I want you to now, you can get your journal out or just sit there and feel into this, okay? So just for a moment, I want you just to now, with me, get comfortable in your chair, wherever you're sitting, all right? Put your feet on the floor, firmly on the ground. And if you are sitting on a bed and your feet don't touch, like mine don't sometimes, my bed's up quite high, that doesn't matter. Just get comfy wherever you are. Take a deep breath in through the nose, And out through the mouth, another one. And just relax. Let all the stresses, everything from today, just start to melt away. And from the week, just get relaxed and come into a sacred space. And now I want

SPEAKER_01:

you to

SPEAKER_00:

Give yourself a moment to think about what it is in your life right now that you're trying to make a decision about. Whether that be moving homes, moving country, getting a new job, leaving a relationship, jumping on a course. buying a dress. It doesn't matter what it is.

SPEAKER_01:

But I want you to get that decision. And I want you to ask yourself

SPEAKER_00:

what it would feel like if you went ahead with this. And see what that feels like in your body. And I want you to give yourself about 60 seconds on this. See what it feels like. What does it feel like?

SPEAKER_01:

And then I want you to make

SPEAKER_00:

a note of that or a mental note of how that made you feel

SPEAKER_01:

if you were to move forward with that decision.

SPEAKER_00:

And now we're going to do the opposite. What would happen? What would it feel like? if you didn't go ahead with that decision? What would it feel like if you didn't make that move?

SPEAKER_01:

and then i want you to make a mental note of that what that felt like was it yes or was it no What was your decision?

SPEAKER_00:

And this is something you can do all the time. This is something actually very simple. The body test is a very simple one. But it's a very good one for us to make because if we feel in any way constricted, restricted, Sad. Anxious. We suddenly have a lump in our throat or we suddenly, our heart starts beating. You know, beating with like that kind of fear again, if you like, or that nervousness, that worry, that anxiousness. You know, these are kind of say, these are your no signs. Yeah. These are your no signs. If it's a real, if you go into it and it's a real, like you feel excited or you feel, for instance, if you feel excited, you feel happy, you feel joyful, inspired, or it makes you feel free, you know, calm. These are your yeses. So developing our intuition can help in all areas of our life as well, as you've heard me say over and over again. And in our relationships, where our wealth is concerned, it can help us to really seek out those opportunities that are right for us. Seek is probably the wrong word, actually, because when it's intuition, we just feel guided. We feel guided in a certain direction. And synchronicity happens. We get those inspired opportunities. feelings and thoughts and all that lovely stuff. So all of which I do go much, much more into, into all the different practices, into the embodiment practices, into the divination tools and give you lots of different ways to help you actually develop this and to harness this so you can use it in all areas of your life, including your business. So yeah, you can catch the details in the Mystics Way in the show notes below. I know we're running out of time now because we've been here for quite some time. So just quickly, one of the times when I noticed my intuition was really kicking in was when I was in sales. I'm going back many, many moons ago. So many, many, many years ago. Won't tell you how many, but that's when I really noticed that something was different. I was doing things differently to the other people, my peers around me in this particular sales position that I had. I accelerated so much within that job. I was given a leadership role very, very quickly and asked to actually train other people in intuitive sales because I was doing it very differently to how we were initially being taught to sell the product, the service. which happened to be financial services at the time. We were going around. I was going around to different roadshows each week, different events each week and selling the financial services products, which I absolutely loved. I absolutely loved just being out and about. It was brilliant meeting different people all the time. you know, in conversation. I believed in the product though, that's the difference. I really believed in what I was selling. I believed it could actually really help people. So, and I really feel that this is a big part of intuitive sales. If we don't believe, genuinely believe in a product or service, if we're not coming from that authentic space, then it's very difficult to sell something. It's very, we're coming from a completely different energy. But if we're coming from an authentic place, the energy is clear. it's different okay so we can lean into that conversation we can feel into the conversation with the person that we're having we can tell when we're when we are giving them everything that they need to hear and that they are a yes or when they're a no and you know it really helps you to bring that person reel that person back in in an authentic way when you need to but This all comes from really developing your intuition. And I was always very, very intuitive as a child. I'd grown up that way. My parents were like it too. So I'd grown up in a home like that. And I was always encouraged to use my intuition. But the tools and the practices that I share will really, really help you to harness your intuition and help you when it comes to sales, you know, within your own business or job or wherever you work as well. So as I say, all the details you can catch below, okay, in the show notes in the Mystics Way course. until next time please remember to subscribe so you don't miss the next episode and I will speak to you soon
